This weekend I'm taking a road trip from Nashville to Kansas to pick up a 700 Maxim X. I bought it a few weeks ago on E-bay. The bike is in nice shape but will need the carbs worked. This will be bike number seven in the garage. It's getting sort of full in there.

You can make some room for more XJ's.... :D

Neither do I, I just store them at a number of different friends houses for the winter, then pack them in tight at night during the summer.

Understanding missus? Well, maybe more like "resigned to the fact and happy that I'm out playing with the toys rather than out with some other vice.........." and happy that the messy parts stay out of the house.........most of the time.

I got the bike home yesterday. I'm happy with the conditon but will have to get a couple of pieces. It is missing a rear foot rest and associated bracket along with a scratched speedo housing and rear light housing. I need to pull the carbs and get a battery.

Wiz, the SR is full stock. When I bought it I ordered a White Brothers pipe and ran it for a few years but I have the original pipe back on now.

Yammadof - thanks for the offer but the SR needs me.

I'll get some pictures posted soon.

Hogfiddles - It turns out I have the foot peg. Now I'm just short the screws and washer. Do you have them?

I'll get pictures posted eventually. I've been really busy lately and haven't been able to pull the carbs yet. It is also dripping coolant from the line behind the alternator. I'll keep you all posted.

Sorry it took so long for me to post pictures.

Looks like I need to shrink my pictures for them to post. I guess it will be a little longer.

No need to shrink Ron just open a Photobucket account, upload to your album, select the pic, select the 'direct link' from the drop box, then while composing your post here, select the html picture button and paste your direct link. Done.

I too would like to see the SR500 and the RD too. I probably have the parts your looking for as I just cleaned out a garage from a 'tinkerer' who's wife layed down the law-got an 81 XV750 out the deal with a ton of XS, XJ, and XV parts and a few V-star parts. Just realized I haven't updated my list.
