Oil drain plug on 1980 XJ 650 maxim

    My friend has a 650 maxim 1980 and can't locate the oil drain plug. I have a 1982 750 maxim and can't help him, his is not in the same place. can anyone tell me where he should find it?

    according to the owners manuals it should be right under the oil filter on both models.
