So heres the deal, i went to go lower my front end a bit (cafe racer style) on my 82 XJ750 and i noticed something odd. Before i go further i want to make it clear, I have never had this bike on the road. But i went to loosen the 2 bolts on each sode of the forks on the triple tree and i noticed there were no bolts there. :-O
Has anyone ran into this problem and how can I possibly find replacement bolts to throw in so i can secure my forks? Ive looked for hours now. Thanks guys.

You'll need two bolts and washer for each side......total of four sets

Awesome thanks guys. Got em ordered. Im going to need so many random bolts and whatnot for this bike. Its like the guy stripped most of them before selling it.

Whoa, whoa, let's hold on uno momento, por favor...........is this an XJ750 Seca (hope so) or Maxim model. If it's a Seca, then the upper crown bracket fork cinch bolts are M8 x 45mm, and there is one per side (2 per bike). The lower bracket uses M8 x40 bolts, 2 per side (4 per bike), with a lockwasher on each bolt.

We have all of them in stock.

I'm assuming he meant the lower part....he did say he "went to loosen the 2 bolts on each side of the forks......" ( and I ASSUME he meant side, not sode as originally posted.....I edited that in my typing----lol

Yes it was the lower portion. I got them in already and they fit great. Thanks guys. Also, are any of these bolts special by any means? Or can I just go to Home Depot and snag some bolts up that fit certain spots? Like Petcock bolts, etc? Like I said, its missing a lot of things and it seems like it would be easier to go snag some up locally.

Yes, hardware store.... but make sure you get metric, and I highly recommend hardened, or if you can find, stainless steel.

So if those bolts are missing, are your turn signal mounts missing, too? ( part #47 )

Go to an ACE, TRU Value, or Fastenall if you can. Home Depot is less likely to have what you need.

Also snag you some medium-strength Locktite (stick if they have it), and aluminum (silver colored) anti-seize. Most fasteners will need the Locktite (prevnets corosion as well as keeps fasteners from falling out). The anti-seize should be used where a fastener gets hot (exhaust studs, spark plugs).

Yes thanks! And yes there are no turn aignal mounts at all. Everything i will have to build myself or find a different way to mount.
