Hey guys, sorry for creating a new one I'm just really getting desperate about this. I have read a lot of discussions on this forum but I just can't find anything that would be similar to my problem.... please hear me out.
Have my yamaha xj750 1986, converting it to a nice bobber and now when finally getting ready for the road this happens. Hit the starter button, engine fire right up but starter motor not disengaging from the engine and because the starter have lower rpm then started engine its just run for few seconds and then engine die. I tried to rev it a bit hoping that would maybe help as it should disengage that automatically when you reach over 700rpm or so but nothing.... really don't know where the problem could be apart from the starter clutch. But then again when I read other conversations there is no way to fix it without taking the engine out and apart so if this is the case probably gonna have to get rid of it as I spent more than enough money sweat and blood on this already if anyone could help me a bit I would much appreciate it.
    Thank you
    Rado

Start a clutch maybe gunked up you could remove the starter and spray it down a little bit see if that cleans it out. Make sure your starter button isn't sticking keeping the starter spinning.
