proggressive suspension upgrade

    Hi! Just replaced my fork springs with a set of proggresive fork springs in my 1981 xj 550h. It was a bit of pain at first to remove the split ring. The fork oil look as old as the bike but manage to pump it all out . The left fork had a problem with the drain screw, someone before must have tried taking it out . Well now it's stripped , anyone with an idea how to remove it would be appreciated . I will take it for a test spin later to see how much improved.

    Look up how to remove stuck drain screws. There are a couple of excellent, reasonably priced tools for removing stripped screws show in that thread.
