I have a 85 xj750x and have replaced the dampers and wheel bearings in the back wheel but as i went to put it back together I realize that the spacer between the swingarm and the brake housing is missing I probably went to grab a coffee with it in my hand and set it down somewhere. Anyway I do not want to wait a week or two to get one shipped. I have a lathe in my shop and am wondering if anyone could measure the length of theirs for me so I can whip up a new one. Thanks in advance

It is not really a spacer per se, but a washer, it shows it in the manual, it is not the ones in wheel or clutch hub. I just want to know the length or thickness. It does not affect the alignment but only how far the axle slides in looks like an eighth of an inch or so. I guess i can just make it thick enough so that the crown nut slots align properly with the cotter pin hole on the other side

Happened to have on laying on my workbench.

It's a very thick washer. Here are the dimensions:
    1.26" OD / 32 mm
    .685" ID / 17.4 mm
    .172" Thick / 4.5 mm

    Hope that helps.

hey thanks , i had given up on a response and just went with an old washer i had laying around. I may be wrong but the washer is in between the brake drum and pinch bolt setup (not a chain drive) so all it does is force the axle out or in to the pinch bolt and as a result the hole for the castle nut moves as well but it should not affect wheel alignment any as all those spacers are still where they are supposed to be. I am going to build one anyway now that i have proper dimensions. Actually should probably just order it as the last small order from XJ4Ever was delivered up here in Canada and it only took about 5 days
