How about making a RSS-feed available, from the site?
Issues could be: new pictures/galleries, new topics, announcement and general news, etc.

    Is that possible?

It turns out that there is a feed, although it's unpublished. The URL for the forum feed is "http://xjbikes.com/rss/forums.php". Plug this into your feed reader and you should be good to go.

I happened to find it quite by accident. My Google Reader said the main site's feed is http://xjbikes.com/rss/news2.php so I deduced the forum's feed should be http://xjbikes.com/rss/forums.php and so far it seems to work. ;)

I wonder if you can subscribe to individual threads...?

I've been using this feed for the last couple days and it's worked great. I can't access the XJBikes.com site from my work computer, so I've been having to catch up when I get home. It's been frustrating to say the least. At least now that I am able to read the various posts throughout the day I can follow along with the ongoing conversations.

    Much better!

It works fine for me too. I'm using Google reader on my iGoogle page and it is very easy to keep up.
Thanks for the info on feed-url.
