Thinking back

I've been attempting to help some newer entrants in the xj rebuild area and it made me think about a fellow xj rider.

I finally got my old xj750p to run, Woot, good times.
So obviously I signed up for a motorcycle ride down to woop woop and back again.
Fun times.

My xj750p was screaming at 100kmh and the speed limit was 110kmh.

So when I got to the destination I realised damn, where is the oil in the oil window?

Went to a servo, asked for oil and ended up with synthetic and complained loudly to the chap, who just shrugged.

A guy, on an xj at a browser, walked up to me and gave me a one litre bottle of oil and said something cool I think.

Didn't get his name and don't actually remember what he said but watching me berate the servo guy must have made him feel sorry for one or both of us. Good guy.

Got that piece of junk home and have rebored upgraded it ever since.

Weird story right.
