I would like a full back patch that would be bad ass especially one you can personalize with name and size and maxim/seca.

+3 on Maxim-X, change the colors to match Yamaha and I'm all over it. Pin or patch would be nice (though I want a patch for my jacket).

I'd buy several to have at my carb clinics, depending on the price.

I will check with some of the companies I deal with at work and see what they say.

My suggestion for the colour scheme would be:
Chrome badge, the black lines on top done in bright white, the bottom lines in bright deep blue, the XJ done in the same bright deep blue, the BIKES done in bright white so that the colours contrast and compliment each other.
OK, so I downloaded a picture editor and adjusted the colours, bit lame looking, but hope you get the idea.
So, take the oval shape and where the colour is grey, that should be chrome. The white and blue should be in bright enamel. Like I said, hope this makes sense and anyone with better editing tools than mine go ahead and take the picture and alter it for a more polished look.

Might want to see if the white and the blue (if those are the final colors) be done in colors as close to stock Yamaha colors for these XJ bikes......for the white, that would be the Y5 New Yamaha White, the metallic/irridescent color used on the 1981 XJ550 Seca model, and the blue.....well, we have to go all the way to the 1985 XJ700 models for the silvery-metallic MW Bluish-Black (dark blue) color, or across the water for the XJ650 Euro color metallic medium Candy Blue.........
