What is this part?

    I have 1983 Xj750 Maxim. I have been working on my engine, While moving the engine this part fell out, and I am not sure where from. My guess is it came from the right side of the engine or from the oil pan area. Here are some pictures:

    Yup, and it just slide in too, there's a little lip that it fits into, but there's no bolt or anything to worry about. Play with it a minute, look at the pic, and you'll figure it out.
