XJ 900 off idle transition

    Had my first test ride today on my new to me 1983 Seca 900. A couple of items need attention but the big one is the very abrupt one-idle transition. I nearly ran off into the yard the first time I let out the clutch and gave it a little gas. It’s out much better on The road with every transition off idle brings a big surge in power output. Can any body advise if this is just the mature of the beast or is it a carb issue.
