    Hey Everyone,

I know that people have swapped a gsxr750 forks unto an xj550 Seca which was a super easy swap. I found a potential swap but it's an 2005 gsxr600. Would those forks work for 1981 xj550 seca?

Thanks a lot for any help or pointers.

You’ll want to use the gsxr triple tree and stem. Depending on the stem length, it can be a plug and play swap with a conversion bearing kit. Or you can go custom triple tree setup if you’d like. Cognitomoto.com makes some great stuff. That’s what I used for my swap.

Awesome. Thanks for the reply. That makes sense. What bike did you get the forks from for your build?

2002 gsxr750. From my understanding the 650 and 750s are the same forks itself. Before 2003 they used 1 size fork, and then 2004 -2008 they switched to up 1mm in diameter and changed the brake system.
