I'd put the pilot mixture screws at 2 1/2 to 3 (full) turns out. If you did it by "flats" 4 flats is only two turns.

You can't diagnose anything in regard to plug color from just running in the driveway and/or on the enrichment circuit.

Looks like you're getting close. Rebuild your master cylinder too.

Hey again. I have some fessing up to do. I had to redo my carbs because I was leaking gas somewhere. So I ordered throttle shaft seals, the seals that go on the fuel rails(i think that's what they are called), a new T, and fuel mixture seals from chacal. I got everything in place without incident (almost because I snapped off two butterfly bolts), but something seems wrong with the fuel mixture screws. #4 goes all the way down and seats with the tip poking through the little hole, #1 just shows up in the hole, and 2 & 3 both don't seem to go down as far. I haven't tried forcing them and don't really want to. Any ideas where I went wrong. Tips are not bent or broke as far as I can tell and I did clean the seats as well as I know how. Thanks in advance. Also, I can take the screw from#4 and it acts the same in any other carb.
