    Hi,

I have a broken bearing cap and wonder if it can replaced with another cap or if it is fitted to the cam? When looking at it there is about 2 mm tolerance towards the cam and I think it can be replaced without problems.

    Hi Fredrik

If I recall one or two of the caps are not bearings at all - just there to hold on the cam cover. Your broken one looks like one of those. So yes replace..

    Cheers

yep , exactly as a100man says, its just a receiver for the cover bolt, looks like the cover bolt was tightened too much, they are only 7nm torque.
i think they are the no3 cap, you need to replace it with the same one
