My bike came in parts. Im trying to get the front brakes back on. The haynes manual shows a washer that goes inbetween the caliper and the bracket on the fork. When I tryed to get it all together theres a pretty big gap between the caliper and the fork. Anyone one have any pictures of the brake setup and measurements on that washer? Is it just a regular washer or is it thicker then normal?

My XJ 650 came without one too. It is thicker than a "standard" washer.

What I did was get a stack of fender washers at the hardware store to fill the gap. I think it took 3.
