    the guy has his own web site.

    think of it as a preload thing like the setting of the rear shocks. the springs are in slight compression with the coins stiffens up the front end by starting the compression .
    could probably get better results by stepping up the fork oil grade.

    Hi, Do Not use coins as spacers!!!
    I learnt the hard way. the jam the top cap up and it wont come off, atleast not easily...
    Again Do Not use coins as spacers!!
