    Ok ok. I admit it. The last two motors I took out, from the parts bikes I had bought, I unbolted the frame portion that bolts together.

    My question is.........

    Is this the preferred method of removing the motor from a xj700. If it is not the preference then please advise me of the trickery necessary. I’ve fought this just long enough that I opted to ask

    if it is the preferred method my last question would be.... what are the torque values needed for the bolts when I put them back on? Obviously I’d use a loctite of some sort unless there is a reason not to.
