Wanted XJ750RL air box to carb rubber boots

    Hi all

    I am in need of any help i can get here.

    I'm chasing a set of rubber boots for my 1984 XJ750RL that go between the air box and the carbs. They can be NOS/reproduction/used (if still useable).

    I have already tried Len but unfortunately, given the low number that Yamaha produced, he wasn't able to assist.

    If anyone knows of a set, can at least point me in the right direction or even obtain the original part number I would really appreciate it.

    The Xj750rl shares many parts with xj900rk.
    31A-14453-00-00 Is the 900 air box to carb boot and shows that it is still available from Yamaha.
    I have a buddy at the local Yamaha dealer that can check that for me and I'll get back to you.

    Ok so they are not the same as 900 ones. Part number starts with 29r-14453-00 and discontinued in Canada.
    Maybe ask Yamaha dealer down under to run that part number.
    Do you still have the originals or are they missing? If they have gone all hard you can soak them in rubbing alcohol and oil of wintergreen mix and it will soften them. I Have done that and it works.

    Hey Toomanybikes thanks for looking, I appreciate it. I tried Len initially for the xj900rk ones however he advised me the same, they aren't suitable.

    I'm in the process of restoring the bike and when I purchased it one of the previous owners had replaced them with plumbing parts. I'm trying very hard to avoid having to put pods on the bike and have it as stock as i can.

    Are the 600 ones similar enough to use? What diameter are the carbs?

    No unfortunatley they are not. The only other ones that I can find that would be possible are from the XJ750E-II as they used the HSC33 carb.
