    HI,

    Would it be possible to get the build year from the frame number? I own an imported bike which from the papers I have is registered in the Netherlands on 22 June 1990. I can not find any Yamaha XJ700 S maxim information for the year 1990.

    The frame number is JYA1NH003GA000496 I also have a different document number which is 00YAMML15000496

    I hope someone can help me.

    Paul.

    And let's not forget this, too:

    JYA1NH003GA000496

    The model YEAR code in the tenth position of the VIN are as follows:

    A = 1980
    B = 1981
    C = 1982
    D = 1983
    E = 1984
    F = 1985
    G = 1986

    There's so many ways to skin this particular cat.......
