Homemade fuel level adjustment YM-01312 tool and adapter for Mikuni carbs

    OK, so further to the post I managed in the end to make a homemade adapter for the carb bowl thanks to the previous post. Found in my shed electrical butt connectors but they at each end were to slightly big to fit the drain hole so simply chopped of the end with a blade and used a small hammer to tap the connector home into the hole. After that all you require is attaching the butt connector to the tube which I used from a brake vacuum pump which was sacrificial and there you have it a nice simple gauge for you to measure your float fuel level.     Very nice. I will have to give it a try I have a few set of mikuni carbs I have to rebuild. I never would have thought of that, I was too focused on using automotive connectors for vacuum.
