Help! How do I remove the ignition switch on my 82 Seca xj750. What all needs to be removed to access it for replacement?

it's been so long since i moved mine i don't remember. i can say that once it's off you can take it apart, clean and lube it and it probably will work like new

a 10mm socket ( if i remember correctly) with long extentions will reach the 2 bolts , pull off the ignition cover. then you will undo 3 connectors, and this link from xj4ever site

Clean and lube the ignition switch

Thanks everyone. I have a nos replacement, so taking apart and cleaning isn’t needed, just wasn’t sure how to remove it and replace with new old stock.
