Seca 650 speedo/tach rebuild.

    Looking for a tutorial regarding the teardown/rebuild process for a Seca 650 instrument cluster. Anybody know of one?

    There are some good resources floating around for other models, but nothing for 650R in particular.

    In this thread, I got to the point where I wanted to break them down to clean and lube them, but stopped because I didn't want to get too destructive:

    It seems that you will need to carefully remove the black rings that hold the faces on in order to disassemble them. This would be the most difficult job of the whole operation. At least until it comes time to reassemble.

    In this writeup, @hogfiddles performs a similar surgery on an XJ700 speedo, which needs to be similarly pried open to get the face off:

    Once you get into the guts, I'm sure it would be like just about any other as far as clean and lube. Here's a good starter:
